Home is where the ART is! 2021
Bellas Artes educational culture & arts outreach program has held three week-long summer intensive workshops in Carpinteria for the past 17 years. But now with the covid pandemic we can no longer sit elbow to elbow, sharing paints, brushes, smiles, knowledge & conversation.
Our lives have changed in countless ways. We’ve become creative by necessity.
Art is fundamental to the creative spirit. Art allows people to express the human condition, which right now is in dire straits.
As with the workshops, the Bellas Artes annual August Exhibition at the Lynda Fairley Carpinteria Arts Center must be cancelled. Art created by the Bellas Artes artists will be avaiable for viewing on line at http://www.carpbellasartes.com
Bellas Artes is a non-profit program co-sponsored by the Carpinteria Arts Center & Peoples Self Help Housing with funding by Marty Selfridge & the Towbes Foundation .
All supplies are provided free of charge.
Nuestras vidas han cambiado de innumerables maneras. Nos hemos vuelto creativos por necesidad. El arte es fundamental para el espíritu creativo. El arte permite a las personas expresar la condición humana, que en este momento está en una situación desesperada. Al igual que con los talleres, se debe cancelar la Exposición anual de agosto de Bellas Artes en el Lynda Fairley Carpinteria Arts Center.
